Single Mom or Taxi Driver??

Okay so being single for the last four years has been “different” and I guess its because I was married for 14yrs. I’m in a great place in regards to my Ex husband and the fact that It was NOT meant to be (More on the marriage later).  However, being married had its perks. Driving duties were often shared with my Ex. Are there any single mothers of teenagers who feel like you are a taxi driver instead of a mom??? Seriously, I’m tired of driving these self absorbed teens around (okay that was a bit harsh) but the very definition of teen is Its all about MEEEE!!! Okay, so we are out of school for a snow day. The roads are not horrible, but somewhat icy. After working yesterday, taking my lunch break to take my daughter to her part time Job (once she walks across the street from school), picking up my son from a friend’s house after work, coming home warming up some chicken soup in the crockpot from the previous day, getting a 30min work out in at home, picking  her up from work last night, stopping at the drugstore, then getting home and going to bed. This teenager who slept in…remember “snow day”, has the nerve to wake up and ask, “Can we go look at Prom Dresses today”? We get a day to relax and she wants me out on these icy roads looking for Prom Dresses??? I rolled my eyes as hard as I could and asked if she was “crazy”. I mean reallyyyyy!  Needless to say, I did not go, which is why I’m sitting here writing this long blog. I revealed a lot about my busy life in this one blog, but I will be elaborating on them later. I’m sure there are many other woman or men who may be going through the same issues. Enjoy and post your comments.
